IMMIGRATION DNA TESTING FAQs
Is it necessary to send my immigration DNA request paperwork to DEPOINTE DNA?
Yes, we require a copy of your USCIS form before sending out DNA collection kits. Please e-mail or fax us this form
In order to obtain an immigration visa to the United States, do you send all the required documentation to the foreign embassy for a DNA test?
The DEPOINTE DNA team sends all required paperwork to the foreign embassy, consulate, or other immigration office for the completion of a U.S. immigration DNA test. The paperwork includes the USCIS form and instructions for the testing process. Following the completion of the testing, DEPOINTE DNA sends the required chain-of-custody paperwork and a report of the results to the embassy. Once the test fee has been paid in full, a hard copy of the report is provided to the petitioner.
Can you tell me how long it will take for the overseas family to receive an appointment for DNA collection?
Overseas DNA collection can take up to several months, depending on the embassy or consulate. Unfortunately, we cannot control this factor.
Can my DNA be collected here in the United States before the beneficiary's DNA is collected?
It is preferred that we collect the petitioner's sample as soon as possible since certain countries require that a DNA-collection kit be sent to another country once the petitioner's sample has been collected. It is therefore imperative that DNA be collected as soon as possible for the party in the United States.
Are you able to set up online access to a DNA test for immigration to the United States?
Due to regulations, we are not able to provide online access to U.S. immigration test results; however, the petitioner will receive a hard copy of the results once the report is ready and the test fee has been paid in full. The report can be expedited if you would like to receive your copy as soon as possible.
